Our annual Christmas party was held with installation of 2010 club officers.
Entertainment was provided by Brad Husak and his 6 piece band, playing a variety of
polka's waltz's and Christmas music.  Stefanie Vocasek, our very own 2009-10 Lincoln &
Nebraska Czeck-Slovak Queen performed a few songs also.

Entertainment was provided by Don Trouba, who shared his knowledge 
about accordions and brought an assortment of them to "show and tell."  
We also enjoyed some good accordion music.

Czech-Slovak Queen, and Brad Husak on the accordion.

Since our 40th annual Czech Festival was held on May 3rd, we discussed post-festival details and results.  
Our entertainment was playing the game "Name That Polka or Waltz."  
Our very own Brad Husak provided the accordion music.

Our guests were Barbora Polachova from Prague, Czech Republic, Zdenek Vanis from Pelhrimov, 
Czech Republic & Katarina Palickova from Bratislava, Slovakia. 
They are Robitschek Scholar students from UNL who shared interesting information 
about themselves and their homes in the Czech Republic.

Our guest speaker was one of our own club members, Bob Houser, who shared with us 
"How I Traced My Houser Family Roots Back to Bohemia."  
He showed pictures and taught us the steps he took to research his family history.

Our guest was Ken Svoboda, Lincoln City Councilman, who gave a talk on the "State of Lincoln". 
Ken is the son of Ray & Mabel Svoboda who are charter members of the 
Lincoln Czech Club.
